How does nature affect decision-making?

I restore my passion and sensibilities, although I lose track of time, when I'm in beautiful earthly places. I try to be in those places regularly. When I'm not working with people in the Silicon Valley I'm "at home" on the shores of Pebble Beach, Carmel, and Big Sur.

When I'm away too long from the experience of majestic beauty - it's like being out of touch with God - I get that lonely feeling that I'm missing an important relationship. I slip away from the excitement of life - to the drudgery of existence. If I stay away from beautiful experiences of nature too long - like a young person bored with school and under-motivated - I can make decisions that lack passion and courage - and create more of the same.

I wonder how many other people have realized the need for nature in their daily life. And expanding from the theme of this blog - I wonder - of all the ways our next decision is influenced by the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that came before this moment of decision.  I take pictures of beautiful nature - so I can see them - refresh myself - to some extent - when I'm not able to go outside and stand IN the shower of nature's beauty.

So I ask you - do you get enough experience of nature's amazing beauty in your life? What's an example of beautiful nature to you? Full moon last night was beautiful. Full moon over the waves at the ocean side - here in Pebble Beach -was beautiful. The sound of the waves - and the site of the moon on the moving waters - exquisite - but the totality - of being in the presence of the beauty - was replenishing something in me. Still looking for the words to express the experience of surrendering to nature's beauty.
