Creating a Life Worth Remembering - one decision, one choice at a time.

Choices are decisions.
Decisions reflect our preparedness, perspective, and imagination.

When a client wants guidance in preparing for their presentation -
I start at the beginning - from where all experience derives.
I ask, "What are you imagining? How do you see it going? What do you think will be?"

Reader, do you stop to say what you're imagining when you're getting ready to speak to an important topic?
Can you imagine opening?
Can you imagine the beginning?

Do you imagine what you will say?
Do you imagine how your listeners will think and feel - absorbing what you say?

Do you imagine how you will feel?
Do you imagine how your listeners will feel?

Can you imagine how the conversation (or presentation) will end?
Can you imagine how you will feel when the conversation is a complete success for both you and your listener(s)?

Feel these imaginings. Write down what you want to experience. Read this again.

Prepare.
Know the why of your presentation.
Why are you giving this content to this group of people?
What do you hope your audience will take-away from your presentation?
Why does this audience want to give up their time of life - to hear what you have to share?
Imagine delivering upon those expectations, with humility.

Speaking is magic.
We create experiences that touch others when we speak.
Whether we offering a speech to 3000 or a conversation with a new friend, we are co-creating an experience.
What experience(s) do you choose to create?

Every choice is a decision.
Every decision contributes to the story of our lives.
What do you dream?
What do you imagine?
What do you know?
Do you want to grow?

Are you anxious about speaking? Prepare to grow. Anxiety heralds change.
Feeling anxious is like standing on a diving board when you don't know how to swim.
When we stretch into unfamiliar territory - we grow.
Each time we engage speaking truthfully - presenting to an audience - and conversating - we get to know ourselves - our perspective expands.

When it comes to making choices,
Take the long view.
Make decisions that give you the best chance of experiencing a life worth remembering.

Imagine all the right decisions.
Imagine contributing to creating a life worth remembering.
